LET PREP TOGETHER

ENGAGEMENT, FAMILY, NEWBORN AND MATERNITY SESSION
Everything you need to feel relaxed, confident and fully prepared ahead of your photography session.
This guide has been created to help answer your questions, ease any nerves and walk you gently through what to expect before, during and after your shoot. There is no pressure to memorise anything here. Think of this as a supportive reference you can return to at any time.
Whether your session takes place in your home or outdoors, you will find clear guidance below to help you feel prepared and excited for your experience.
A FEW DAYS BEFORE

A little preparation in the days leading up to your photoshoot can make everything feel calmer and far more enjoyable on the day. Think of this as gentle organization rather than a checklist to perfect.

THE NIGHT BEFORE
Lay outfits out together so mornings feel calmer.
Pack a small bag with any extras you might need such as layers, wipes, snacks or comfort items.
Charge phones if you plan to bring reference images or need directions.
Try to keep the evening relaxed and avoid late nights where possible.
get the worries out
Talk through any worries or questions you might have. Whether it is styling, children, locations or timing, I am always happy to help you feel reassured.
But remember, Your session does not need perfection to be beautiful.
The most important preparation is arriving feeling comfortable, confident and ready to spend time together. I will guide you throughout, and everything else can gently fall into place.
OUTFITS
Take some time to look through outfit ideas and color guidance. If you are unsure, you are always welcome to send photos over for advice.
Try everything on in advance, including children’s outfits, to avoid last-minute surprises.
Remove labels, tags and stickers which can easily show in photographs.
Iron or steam clothing ahead of time so it is one less thing to think about on the day.
footwear Matters
Do not leave shoes as an afterthought, especially for outdoor sessions.
Neutral, simple footwear photographs best and keeps the focus on connection.
Make sure shoes are comfortable enough for walking and standing.
For most beach sessions throughout the year, we will usually go barefoot, so shoes are not needed unless it is cold.
